Plan Ahead for a Seamless Safari Experience
Each rule and guideline is designed to protect these fragile ecosystems and ensure fair access for all travellers. To make your experience smooth and hassle-free, please go through the essential booking guidelines mentioned below.
What documents are required for safari booking in India?
- Safari permits can be booked up to 120 days in advance, subject to online availability.
- To secure confirmed bookings, we require full payment to Noah Safaris along with scanned copies of valid photo IDs of all the guests traveling.
- Please ensure you carry the same original ID (Passport for Foreigners) during your safari, as it will be verified at the park entry gate.
Are safari permits refundable in Indian national parks?
- It depends. Safaris may be cancelled or rescheduled by the Forest Department due to unforeseen circumstances such as heavy rain, forest fire or natural events. In such cases, refunds might be processed as per the respective park officer’s discretion.
There’s a limited number of Online permits available in every national park, which makes much more difficult for any Travel Operator to book your safaris at the end moment. Also Indian festivals too bring lot of footfalls. Hence suggested to book way early !!
Can I change traveller/guests names on a safari permit in India?
- Safari jeep seats are assigned based on the names mentioned on the permit and are strictly non-transferable. After a permit has been issued, any change in traveller ID details or safari date is considered a new booking, and the full permit fee will be charged.
On which days the National Parks remain Closed?
- All national parks remain closed on Wednesday afternoons and for the entire day on Diwali, and Holi in Central India (Madhya Pradesh only. For Maharashtra its Tuesday)
